800 Wilshire was developed in 1970 by the firm of Ketchum, Peck & Tooley and designed by architects Welton Becket Associates. The building has since been recognized as one of Downtown's premier addresses.

800 Wilshire has 225,000 square foot of Class A office with sixteen floors. Each floor contains approximately 14,000 square feet with floor plans ideally configured to provide individualized suites for tenants from 2,000 square feet and above.

The building was completely renovated in 2004 by Wayne Ratkovich with Johnson Fain as the building architect. In addition to the ground floor lobby and P-1 level valet parking lobby, the upper floor elevator lobbies were redecorated. Improvement to the building mechanical systems resulted in significant energy savings. In 2008, EPA Energy Star awarded the building a score of 91.
